Kids learn to print first and use it mostly exclusively.

Personally, I learned cursive ~20 years ago, and our instruction was cursory enough that none of us got that good.

The fear seems to be kids not learning cursive means they soon won't learn to write by hand at all, thus "relying on screens."

I'm not into trains, am hyperverbal, and have no intellectual disability. I know very well my experience is not the same as every other autistic person.
