Hegseth is just the level of moron that I’d expect to think firing an RPG-7 from a helicopter is a good idea…

I wonder why he’s using Russian terminology.

Absolutely fine by me. 🤷‍♂️

It’s fun how many of the replies to this are leftists arguing with one another.

They’re either Russian assets or idiots. There is no third option.

& Retaining the 20% VAT charged on public charging which makes EVs less attractive to those without off street parking (usually the less well off).

Perhaps there’s some super clever macroeconomics behind this, but to me it looks absolutely ridiculous.

It’s the donations of Rafale & purchase of Gripen which will be the real shift - capability with a level of sovereignty that buying US doesn’t provide.

We are as advanced as the universe has become?

What a genuinely depressing thought.

The same model of car in both EV & ICE form will be a fundamentally flawed design for one or the other, consumers know they’re terrible, & are increasingly rare for that reason.

Battery chemistry is irrelevant to this topic & is frankly just fine, & much better than oil chemistry.

The RAC doesn’t think it was ever passed on and have culled for it to be ditched themselves.

Ditching the fuel duty freeze would have essentially been a ‘free’ way to encourage EV transition (new & used), yet they’re potentially going to increase EV purchase grants at large cost which are only accessible to those buying a new EV.

This government is barking.

Except my (common) EV isn’t meaningfully different in weight to a well specced ICE BMW 3 series. 🤷‍♂️
November 26, 2025 at 6:21 AM
It’s crazy - they could ditch the cut, incentivise the transition to EVs & make money.

This government is nuts.
