The end of an era - demolition of Farish Hall has officially begun. Slated to be completed by mid-January, this heralds in the second phase of Centennial Plaza, still expected to be completed by 2027.

Just a few years ago, Shasta VII and his brother, Louie, were abandoned cubs in Washington state. Now they’re thriving thanks to the care of the Houston Zoo.

I wanted something different for Easter dinner (also, prime rib was ridiculously expensive this year) and so, applewood smoked leg of lamb! Went with a dijon-horseradish sauce, and it wound up being extremely reminiscent of a prime rib, but like a sixth of the price.

A fully cooked boneless leg of lamb. The meat is a dark mahogany color since it was smoked over applewood.
