We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Sandro Pignatti —botanist, vegetation ecologist, and a pillar of our community.

Former president of the IAVS, founder of the EVS Working Group and author of Flora d’Italia, he championed collaboration and mentored generations. He will be greatly missed
