Last night I sang both the National Anthem and the Black National Anthem at the @tndems 3-Star Dinner.
Because freedom songs don’t stop at the stage, they echo through generations.

The TN State House introduced House Joint Resolution 7 which defines a "person" to include “every human being from fertilization to natural death.” Tennessee law currently states that “life begins at the moment of conception”, but HJR 7 would enshrine that definition in the state constitution.

Yesterday I spoke at the People’s March about our future.. one march isn’t going to change us.. but we can learn from our ancestors. They build beautiful lives while fighting and pushing for freedom.
