TL:DR, I really like Pathfinder

To give credit where it’s due, I do not hate 5e and I’ve been playing it since I was a teenager. I still play in a weekly campaign to this day. I’ve just become more and more convinced that the longer I play 5e, it only becomes fun when you go out of your way to change it into something different.

I think that people don’t want to give Pathfinder a chance because all they know about 2e is misinformation from people who don’t want to admit their investment into 5e is unsatisfying or worse, that they’ve been lying to themselves that 5e actually is satisfying.

Having to learn new rules is an intrinsic part of any TTRPG system and I think it’s frankly a cop out for not giving other games like PF2e a real chance in favor of playing a game doesn’t want to service the people actually playing it.

I understand that switching from one game system to another can be a hard transition and tweaking terminology and rule mechanics can be frustrating at first but they’re an infinitely easier set of obstacles to overcome in the grand scheme of things compared to the learning curve of other hobbies.
