Idk about faster but it does free up my cognitive load for tackling other cases where Claude is not as good, and thay is definitely worth something. As far as wall-time goes, I'd say its about the same as a mid level dev if you factor in necessary review and revisions.

Claude is really, shockingly good at the 80% case, but nothing (yet) beats the experience of a sr dev for design and implementation on corner cases or for really tricky bugs. Even Claude gets lost in the weeds on many hard cases where a standard approach fails.
