What concerns me is his comment about investigating DEMOCRATS. Material related to Democrats would not be available, then, right? He was a democrat back in the 80's and 90's. So, would that dodge, block records including him?

IOW, the only reason it would make sense to do that is if you didn't give a damn about overall crime rates, but you really hated young people. Replace "young people" with "immigrants" in this thought experiment and all three things are happening now. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/16/u...
