which would be a real bummer because as far as I remember, the 2016 changes were funded from cycle ambition funds (but watered down significantly after pressure from the bus companies)

The Plain is a notorious junction but Cllr Henwood, who instantly moved his talking point from cyclist fatality (that btw happened before the East Oxford LTNs) to "policies punishing motorists" - he has no interest in making The Plain safer, he just wants everyone to be allowed to drive everywhere.
