Made a couple of fantastic dinners this week:

Smothered chicken with rice. Pure comfort food.

@smittenkitchen.bsky.social Winter squash soup with Gruyère toast. Made with kabocha & a delicata squash. Probably one of the best, silkiest squash soups I’ve made. Just perfection. 🍽️🍜

Missed posting this a while back. It’s a re-creation of a favorite from a now closed pizza place. Fig jam, goat cheese, and pancetta pizza topped with arugula. As good as I remember it being! 🍜🍽️ #pizzanerd

Just the two of us, so I just did the core: turkey breast roast, mashed potatoes, and fluffy dinner rolls. Did splurge on dessert and made cranberry tiramisu. 🍽️🍜

Today’s goal: get a kitten (or two, or three, hey let me dream here) adopted!

Yooooo, last night I made Armenian harissa because @sarahbecan.bsky.social & @wordloaf.org convinced me I needed to, and they did not lead me astray. Super mega comfort food! And the Aleppo butter/oil business was 🤌. I may have been a bit heavy-handed there. 🍽️🍜

Spiced lentil & walnut pitas were so good. The cucumber salad is a necessity and takes it to a whole ‘nother level. 🍽️🍜

Do you have a favorite potato (I bet @darthbluesky.bsky.social does)? I do, and it’s the Makah Ozette, pictured here. Roasted & tossed in bacon chive cream. 🍜🍽️
A bowl of Makah Ozette potatoes. They are nubby fingerling potatoes. These were halved & roasted in the oven. They are in a big yellow bowl & were tossed with bacon chive cream (heavy cream, crème fraiche, chopped chives & bacon, s&p).
