R. IPC Nurse

Broken English, French, Spanish and others...Here to exchange knowledge, mainly about health. Open conversations are always welcome; I only block if gross incivility or pseudoscience. #NurseSky #IDSky
One of the things that outrages me is what you are saying, which is a vaccination policy not only against the scientific evidence, but above all against the most fragile people: the poor, the children, and those who had the fewest opportunities.

As European IPC nurse I can assure you that early neonatal vaccination is the standard practice in the vast majority of European countries. Therefore, Dr. Beth assertion is demonstrably erroneous and quite surprising coming from a professional occupying a position of such responsibility. #IDsky

It's less about efficacy than safety. Fundamentally, the childhood vaccination schedule is so dense in the beginning because kids have no immune memory to protect them from these diseases and that is the period they are most vulnerable. Delaying the vaccines increases the duration of vulnerability.
What timing of vaccination is potentially dangerous for children younger than 2 years?
Vaccine-preventable diseases still occur although measured coverage rates at 2 y of age are high. The occurrence of these diseases may be explained in part by untimely, that is, late vaccination. Our objective was to identify potentially dangerous ...

La Fe Hospital likely has one of the world's best experiences in C. auris control. As IPC pro. I'd be very interested in learning about their work.. In short, if they organized a week-long professional course on their C. auris lessons learned, I would gladly pay and travel internationally to attend.

I vividly recall a statement from a instructor over a decade ago: 1918 scenario -HxNy- is cyclical. As globalized populations of humans & swine/avians for food production increase, so does the probability of its recurrence. It could be next year or decades away, but its reemergence is plausible.

I found it extremely interesting! . Where are similar ESPAUR reports for Wales, Scotland & NI? Also, in ICUs with C. auris outbreaks, have you detected epidemiological shift (C. parapsilopsis complex to C. auris) as reported in Greece or South Africa ? Thank you very much.
