Seriously, the accessibility side of #CalgaryTransit is world class. 🌎 Like shockingly good. You can take a cab across the entire city for just one bus ticket, door to door; the driver helps you by arm or by wheelchair, inside the first set of doors. High class limos don't even do that.

Calgary Transit is pretty gosh darn good! For a city that is 825 sq2 km (larger than all of NYC), #yyc does a great job 👏 👍 . I was able to get BBQ with crutches on a snowy night, door to door service with a bus pass (or 2 tix). Calgary, you really have no idea how good you have it. #yyccc

In Los Angeles, California, a man’s father was abducted and kidnapped by ICE. While attempting to locate him using a GPS tracker in his car, they discovered that his stolen truck was being driven around by an ICE Bounty Hunter during his off-duty period from December 2nd to December 3rd.

Oh my. Again, the math don't math. The problem is that 0.6% of 179,899 is not 31,000. And only 15,700 votes separated them.

I was one of those experts that spoke to a Legislative Committee on this matter in 2020. Kenney is right that he set a high threshold (which Smith lowered). But the argument made for recall was to hold MLAs accountable between elections, not just breaches of ethical behaviour.

We knew that recall petitions were rattling the UCP. But clearly they are also rattled by Corb's no-coal initiative. If Bill 14 gets the expedited treatment that the UCP accorded Bill 2, then the UCP can kill Corb's initiative and make him restart under new, more complex rules.

I've been reading reviews of Dave Chappelle in #Calgary and #Edmonton. Fist fights, lots of heckling, lots of people kicked out, booing Trudeau, people yelling wh*te power (bigsby references) plus Dave made a Charlie Kirk joke and some of the crowd was not happy. #yyc #yeg

Which is why this is Calvinball. California's process and the constitutionality of it has nothing to do with Texas', and yet, the Supreme Court majority is just out here playing politics instead of even pretending to apply law to determine cases.

The fact that both the unsigned 6–3 majority opinion and Alito's concurrence (for Alito, Thomas, and Gorsuch) open with a reference to California's redistricting leaves one with the strong impression that this decision, like California's, is about tit for tat.

They basically fault the panel by saying that they failed to apply the presumption of legislative good faith and failed to take a near-dispositive adverse inference against the plaintiffs for not providing an alternative map.

But the panel expressly considered both of these things.
