I think I’m more thrilled than my youngest child that Steel, the gladiator, is visiting her school on Wednesday next week. An inspiration to them before their sports day.

Nine hundred and fifty English pounds for a smart watch now. £949.99 to be precise. What. The. Hell!? My ancient Garmin refuses to track heart rate and VO2 Max now, but srsly. I’m not replacing it at that price. Oh, sorry, only £880 for my tiny wrist.

We did it! PBs for both. Harder than I thought on tarmac rather than mud / grass and a huge number of participants. Had some ovine observers who all looked interested in the herd that thundered past them. Thanks 🙏 to the volunteers @parkrunuk.bsky.social
