As early access launch of Player housing in WoW nears, it's probably safe to say that these four builds are the most impressive things I managed to put together in preparation to when I can bring my Undermine apartment to life. Just need more Gob stuff. 😎👍

Continuing my final tests of #playerhousing in the #worldofwarcraft #midnight beta.
This time I made a sink. I used a washtub to add the water in the basin, even managing to somewhat make the soap and scrub included in that a part of the scene, though clipping a bit into the table.

The cheek tusks is an odd thing, because there is a precedent for it in older design. Frost King Malakk and the crusty Amani mobs in Eversong Woods have that thing going on. (also the pink tusks are RAD)
I like to think it's a rare genetic trait that makes the tusks grow from an unusual place.

Not so much a room as a very specific corner of a room.
I'm trying to capture that depressing studio apartment feeling (specifically set in Undermine) so I OBVIOUSLY need a TV corner with a custom recliner and state of the art 4:3 Goblin TV.

I always miss some tiny editing blemish when I finish things like these. You see this tiny little crack on Gridcog's arm? A leftover from when I needed to resize the forearm. Unnoticeable for anyone but me, but it will haunt me FOREVER.

(he is not allowed to visit any work sites on his off days, because the higher ups know he would just start working. Gridcog hates being off the clock.)

Funny enough, the one version of my main OC, Foreman Gridcog, that I've most clearly defined, is his childhood version, which I went through several iterations of before getting to the final look. Also the most fleshed out part of my characters backstory, even if most of it is just inside my head.

I struggle so much with getting my OC's appearance down. It feels like every time I draw him, it comes off way different. Even the skin hue varies. They're all fun takes. I just wish I had the time and energy to do MORE to nail the look down.

A lot of these book stacks are already added, I think, but I'm going to need all these notes and letters and paper stacks FOR SURE. When I played around with WoW models in Blender, making a busy office with this stuff was my favorite part. Just endless amount of paperwork.

I adjusted Foreman Gridcog's apartments kitchen a little bit to make the work surfaces more designed for Goblin height. It's actually kind of tough to get that look right without making everything super tiny.

I updated the scuff TV in Foreman Gridcog's living room. Replaced the crate with a Goblin box. The window I used for the screen is a little too big and clips outside, but I feel the metal crate works better for the vibe. I'm so lucky Goblin tech is very scuff by DESIGN. 📺😎👌

Last housing test for the night.
As I've made a custom lower ceiling for the apartment, it left a tight "attic" type space above. So, I grabbed some shelves for a ladder, flipped a door horizontal to serve as a hatch and made the attic. I like having little nooks like this. Just need some cobwebs.

I added some more detail to my #worldofwarcraft Midnight Beta Player Housing instance. My vision for my Goblins apartment is to have it be a much sadder bachelor pad, but since I haven't dabbled with dyes yet, it's all much more vibrant right now. Don't worry, I'll make it all brown and gray SOON.

Went around to get some Gnome and Goblin decor from Mechagon and Undermine to make this little bathroom. It turned out alright and I'm happy to see that the round carpet makes for good water surfaces. I can use that for oil puddles later.

I also tested this idea of having an office in the 2nd floor portion of an empty stairwell that will double as the reception on the ground floor. It's a little snug, but I can probably adjust this to work really well. Saving on the room budget and all. The custom stairs will be expensive, though.

Hopped on the Midnight Beta to play around with housing. I did some tests for my housing plans, but I realize I'm going to have to limít myself until I get the house level up so I can have all the rooms I want

Very scuffed in a lot of parts with the character not being designed for cutscenes, but playing the little gremlin was so much fun since I have an obvious in-built fixation for being a little creature.
