Valve sucks and any competitor has, in theory, a massive leg up if they just do things welll, give devs a fairer shake, and keep their mouths shut... and they can't do any of those three.

This just tells me that 87% of executives could be replaced with a chat bot that can't tell what's real and what's not.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.
I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?

i think something that bugs me about the "clankers" thing (aside from people transparently using it to make light of actual racism) is that it paints machines or "AI" itself as the enemy when they are things that have no agency
