[The term "loose cannon" comes from old wooden warships. Heavy cannons had to be securely tied down. If one broke free it would roll uncontrollably across the deck killing people and causing immense damage.]

Let's not forget that Adm Alvin Holsey, clearly a man of integrity and loyalty to the Constitution who served his country in the Navy for 37 years, was the Commander of US forces in the Caribbean until he announced his retirement in mid-October. Obviously the reason was his opposition to Hegseth.

There isn't much detail on this as to why it happened, but this was a family gathering for a child's birthday party. A time to celebrate. Now it's a time of mourning. Sadly this has become all too common. Sure desperate people do desperate things, but guns in the hands of angry people kill people.
The demolition of the West Wing is more than physical destruction of the past. It's a symbol of total disregard. DJT has no concern of the past, the future, political norms, or the Constitution. His sole focus is personal aggrandizement. It will be a sad part of US history that will be told forever.

Someone should explain to Trump the 911 attackers weren't migrating and that Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (aka Mr Bone Saw), who he just had over to the White House and had the Marine Band play for him, helped them do it. You can't make this stuff up 🙄

Trump is so intent on getting the Noble Peace Prize he's willing to strong arm Russian "peace" plans down Zelinski's throat thinking he'd be half way there. That's not how it works old man. Peace is brokered. Both sides compromise. Keep in mind Ukraine was not the aggressor. Russia started this war.
