Reposting my latest comic: The Lifecycle of Traffic Violence (Abridged)
4 panel comic. First, a green highway sign with title "The Lifecycle of Traffic Violence (Abridged)". Next panel labeled, "Year 1 - Identify the problem." A small crowd gathered on the side of a busy road, which is swamped by huge trucks and lined with parking lots, and stretches beyond the confines of the panel. Activist with a megaphone says, "Look at this hellish stroad! Someone is going to get killed if we don't fix it!" Next panel labeled, "Year 2 - Get attention." A larger crowd stands in front of a bike with flowers draped over it and a memorial portrait. Megaphone activist says, "People will CONTINUE to get killed if we don't fix it!" Final panel, labeled "Year 3 - Study..." A gov official says, "The City is committed to beginning an introductory preliminary study on this issue." Caption continues, "...and study, and study..." I thought the message was too human to let it be diluted + overshadowed by typical online whataboutisms and wanted to redo + reclaim it with more touches of the furry fandom, esp being a furry myself. It's love. For some, the love of your life is in the corner of a boring furcon panel room -- even if they don't have the same "interests," it's care that bridges the gap.
