I guess I'll try it out with the headset before getting a new GPU. But depending on HL3 requirements I may end up upgrading it anyway. Hopefully I can just rent the VR stuff somehow.

There's a different applet for traditional taskbar buttons, which worked well for me. I never tried it vertically though.
