MissMarionette • 2y ago • Silco Silco is considered by many fans of the show to be a stand-out character, and some fans like myself consider him to be one of the most entertaining and intriguing villains in recent memory, not the least of which because of the complicated relationship we see unfold between him and Jinx. Did you begin writing the story with the idea of having an antagonistic corrupting/nurturing force to serve as the catalyst for who Jinx would become, or was he developed gradually over time as the right piece to fill what the script needed? ◎个190 Reply @ Award @ Share •.. The world felt small when every character happened to be a champion, and we liked the idea of the principle villain being someone who needed others to fight for him. It felt so oppositional to League.

Early concept versions of Viktor gave him a different, more severe, rapidly progressing disability and sharper, more angular features. In other words: a design closer to Silco’s, before showrunners shifted Viktor toward the softer, cleaner aesthetic we see in the final series.

He could picture him bent over a workbench lit by a single trembling lamp, its glow shivering over copper coils and scattered clockwork guts like the remnants of some delicate mechanical creature. Viktor would have been hunched there in the hush of a rare quiet hour, long fingers moving with a reverence that bordered on tenderness. Jayce imagined metal shavings catching in the dark strands of his hair, imagined the smudge of grease streaking across one cheek, imagined the way concentration might have softened the austerity of his features. What had he looked like then - unmasked, unguarded, unaware of being seen? Had he been... handsome? The word alone felt dangerous. It lodged in Jayce's throat like a splinter. Handsome. As if that mattered. As if that should matter.

A little tease for this week’s chapter of the Beauty and the Beast AU! False advertising because I type this fic in Times New Roman for the vibes but 🙇
Clothes filled the space like a silent procession - rows upon rows of garments arranged with uncanny care, as if the wardrobe itself had curated them. Cloaks hung like captured weather: deep blue like a cloudless night, storm-gray threaded with silver, white so pure it seemed to glow. Tunics were stacked in careful layers, stitched with intricate patterns he had no name for. Boots with fur linings. Gloves soft enough to bruise. Jayce stepped inside, the air cool and faintly perfumed with cedar and something sweeter. "This is absurd," he muttered - but he didn't leave. His fingers brushed fabrics as he passed: wool as soft as breath, velvets heavy enough to anchor worry, leather cured with a precision he recognized even if he didn't understand the technique. He sifted through garments without purpose, without thought, until a flash of crimson caught his eye. At the wardrobe's center hung a coat, not unlike the one he'd just tucked away.

"I was curious," Jayce whispered, his teeth chattering despite the effort to be steady. He gripped the cog in his hand so firmly that he felt blood begin to pool in his palm. "I didn't know it was... forbidden." "Curiosity," the Herald said, voice even, the word sharp as chiseled ice, "is a luxury for the ignorant. The halls are old, and they remember. You have trespassed, and you have invited peril upon yourself." The temperature dropped. The cold was not just absence of heat — it pressed into his chest, filled his lungs with ice, curled in his stomach. Frost bloomed along the edges of the pedestal, tiny white crystals forming delicate spines that scraped the air like fine needles. Jayce's breath puffed in ragged, visible bursts, curling like smoke. Sparks of blue magic licked along the bannisters, flaring and snapping, leaving tiny arcs of static that tingled his skin.
