Im in the same boat! Applied for or am waiting to apply for about 10 cons, got waitlistwd for 3 more and so far only approved for 2.

I think you would do well at a con or craft fair!! Especially if you do finished dolls on top of base ones!!

I never see bjds at cons around here. I think you should definitely at least try out a con setup someday!

(Con before craft fair, because most craft fairs require you have your own tent)

Turns out, spite is a powerful motivator.

Along with getting properly diagnosed and medicated.

So i did a hard pivot into what I LIKED doing, which was art.

My mom would lament that I took college level Calculous in high school and then went for an art degree <3 which didn't fuck me up at all.

Legit thats the catalyst here. I wanted to be a veterinarian all through high school. Right up until my junior year, where I got a C+ in pre-calc.
And in my family, anything less than A's was unacceptable. ESPECIALLY if you wanted to go into a medical field. (Which 3 of my family members were in)
