Every aspect of her life was controlled by her. Where to live, what classes to take, what jobs to choose. Running away was Hylia's only act of rebellion, and her mother wasn't even there. The girl just wanted to hear “I'm proud of you” from her mother's lips, and that led her to the worst of hells. In the end, Hylia wasn't even capable of killing her; someone else did it. The worst part? She knows that if her mother asked her to, somehow, she'd obey again.

Although she disagrees with many of his decisions, or finds them illogical (seriously, how can there be a rule against killing people if it's "not necessary"? That's one of the most fun parts!), Hylia thinks the ex-cop's rebellion against an entire city is tremendously attractive. In fact, now only feels comfortable with her own decisions when they have the moral approval of her new fiancé. Yeah, contradictory, ain't? Just like her. She could give you a whole twenty-minute speech about why blowing up a Petrochem plant and polluting an entire neighborhood is the best and most logical plan, only to conclude with, “But River wouldn't approve of that, so let's go with plan B, which is much more difficult”

Among the positive lessons, her grandma taught her how to shoot. And even though it's easier nowadays with all the cyberware for aiming and control, she feels more confident knowing that she can do it the old-fashioned way in worst-case scenario

When she's working she tries to be neutral, as there's cyberware that picks up scents very quickly. In her daily life, Hylia uses perfume made from her favorite flower, the white lily.
