In Canada, we eliminated the penny in 2013. It got mass acceptance after about a year, when people realized it's 1 fewer coin you're dealing with every day. It's not like vending machines took pennies, anyway

I don't know brands, but I've got general advice. I buy a lot from thrift stores. Don't rush to get a super heavy coat. It's better to wear a thinner one with layers of clothing. Layering traps body heat better, & you can add/remove layers with the temp changes. You can HMU if you've got questions
