One of my students was rightfully upset that she was busting her behind to learn but had to read AI slop posts from other students. She started responding to them with screenshots from AI detectors. It was so hard to not tell her she was my hero that semester.

I mean… yes but also no? It’s soooo gorgeous though!

In some places it’s food or gun 😬

I have bent over backwards to help both of these students despite them cheating and lying, so I’m the idiot for not understanding that they are going to continue to cheat and lie.

Then, another student cussed me out, called me stupid, and said I was lying and “wrong head” when I asked them to submit the missing parts of their assignment for partial credit. My other options were recording the zero it earned and referring to honor board or grading only the completed part.

I could hear the sound as he pulls down that lever as soon as you said what scene!!

To be fair, the gentlemen on the right are an enormous upgrade.

Yeah. And this has been a very high-intervention student who was very aggressive in the start of the semester. Lots of “grace,” redos, etc. that are not standard in my classes. No good deed, I guess. At least they should benefit from repeating the course a fourth time.

Yup. Just a shame that because of this they (knowingly) threw away their last chance to pass.

And she’s only 59! I thought she was 15 years older with that aggressive work!
