And it also means more pressure on studios not to outright ban Linux when they can't develop a functional anticheat (looking at you, EA)

I considered getting Affinity at some point in the past, but I was already using Linux and just didn't want to risk losing money because it didn't run on Linux, or just suddenly stopped one day.

Which, don't get me wrong, it might still randomly break one day, but at least I'm not risking my money!

This means there's now an alternative to Adobe, which is a good, established program, that is also entirely free and can somewhat run on Linux.

Afaik Affinity was able to run on Linux before, this isn't that new, but since it's free now literally ANYONE using Linux now can access it.

I love the site, but holy fuck is the moderation side of things just utterly useless.

I used to openly recommend bsky but now, even when I do, I always feel the need to point out that you can't expect the trust and safety team will do their job.

I know a few trans people that got their accounts flagged for standing up for themselves.

So basically the message is "okay yes that person wants you and people like you dead because they were born different, but you were mean to them so you're actually just as bad 💔"

Yeah, the labellers are much better. I use a few, but I have everything set to warn. I want a heads up, but I'm not gonna outsource my critical thinking to them lol

But even though I have my own list, I still don't subscribe to any, and I've been telling people not to trust lists blindly.

I got lucky so far in that most lists I got added to got deleted, probably because they were made by throwaway accounts.

But yeah, the lists are... really not that great. I made one early on and I still somewhat maintain it cause people still use it...
