I am a candidate for Los Angeles City Council, District 5. I'm a Tenants' Rights Attorney who was raised in LA and wants to solve the Housing Crisis.
Netflix buying Warner Bros. is going to be terrible for the industry that built LA! Consolidation of media has just made everything worse, Hollywood needs to do everything it can to prevent this from going through.

Last month, I officially launched my campaign for City Council! Our leaders simply refuse to address the housing crisis with the urgency it deserves. We can make LA more affordable, walkable, and beautiful, we just need to make it legal to do so.

My parents moved to LA in 1994. They rented the bottom floor of a duplex in Hancock Park for less than $1,800. The top floor of that same duplex is now renting for $6,850. LA has become utterly unaffordable and building more housing is the only way to fix it.

I'm standing with the Starbucks workers during their strike. We live in a time of unparalleled wealth inequality; workers deserve a bigger share of the wealth they create.

This article does a good job of explaining why young people today are much worse off than older generations, especially when it comes to housing. If we want a brighter future, we must make it legal to build such a future.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! As I watch snow fall outside the window in Cleveland with my dad's side of the family, I'm grateful that I have a family to spend the holiday with, that I have shelter from the elements, and that I live in a city where I never have to endure another true Winter.

I love the rain, but it always reminds me of the ways LA could be better. My dream is to build an LA where everyone has shelter from the rain and every day the air is as clean as the day after the rain stops.

All my support to the workers! The affordability crisis is hitting working Angelenos hard and the city should be doing everything in its power to alleviate it. That means making it legal to build more housing to lower rents across the city!

This is unacceptable. This is why we need new leadership at the city level; we can't just rely on the state to solve the housing crisis for us. This is why I'm running for City Council: LA deserves leaders that treat the housing crisis with the urgency it deserves.
After failing to stop a major state housing bill from becoming law, Los Angeles leaders are turning to plan B: Delaying Senate Bill 79's implementation and pushing for unspecified legislative changes next year. My dispatch for @politico.com Pro subscribers subscriber.politicopro.com/article/2025...

California is set to lose at least 5 members in the House of Representatives after the 2030 census due to population loss caused by the housing crisis. So unless we start building a lot more housing now, all that work we did to pass Prop 50 is going to be out the window in five years.

At every level, Americans have been constantly let down by those in power. We can no longer afford leadership that is unwilling or unable to do what is necessary to confront the problems we face as a society. We deserve better.

Can't even begin to express how thrilled I am about the Democratic victories across the country yesterday. Mamdani, Sherrill, Spanberger, and Prop 50 with massive wins, and that's not counting all the other races. A brighter future is possible!

Election Day is tomorrow! Please make sure to get your ballots in and vote YES on Prop 50! It's absolutely essential that we make sure the GOP cannot cheat their way to a permanent majority in the House.

I had an attorney tell me he was certain my client in LA could have afforded something better than a bed in an uninhabitable boarding house on $1,100 a month and it was a good reminder that a lot of people really have no idea how expensive housing has gotten.

I can't make it to a protest today but I stand with all of the protesters across the country. America is currently run by an out-of-control tyrant with no regard for the Rule of Law. Every American must stand against this if democracy is to survive.

This is unacceptable, particularly when all of LA's leaders who have been touting the drop in homelessness have also been opposing more housing getting built. We are not going to be able to solve homelessness without more homes!

Highly encourage everyone in California to vote Yes on Prop 50. California's redistricting system is good, but we cannot let ourselves get taken advantage of by other states who have no interest in maintaining democracy. Prop 50 is a necessary and temporary counter-measure.

Fasting on Yom Kippur is a tradition I always keep. For me, fasting is a reminder of how terrible hunger is, how lucky I am to have always had enough to eat, and how important it is to fight for a world where everyone's needs are met. Wishing everyone an easy fast.
