I marvel at the world around us every day, but the richest people to ever exist seem bored and angry all the time, and their only solution is to give themselves more money and power, and I don't see how that's sustainable.

All this to say, I don't think the people running our country & our world understand any of this. I don't think they appreciate or even know what is happening on a basic level in our world every minute of every day.

The waves rolling in, the birds flying above, the fish jumping at the surface, the sun setting on the horizon, these are thing that make us feel alive.

When you walk through the urban edges of nature, for me the bay and the ocean, you really see what humanity is trying to ignore, if not erase.

When you walk past the busy streets, you can really see how people get around, and their frustrations, and how they patronize grocery stores and other errands.

Walking through the neighborhoods you can see each house or apartment building and see how they use their space, and how they landscape, and how they exist in the world on a basic level.
