My MP @mattwestern.bsky.social has not confirmed his attendance. Having emailed him more than once on a couple of issues, I understand that he is not fond of emails that come via platforms. He dismisses them as being template written, even if they are not.

While I share your disappointment with UvdL, your comment about her being German implies we’re all mass murderers. I’d expect a bit more nuance.

Of course governments are being lobbied (and thus fed disinformation by FF industry), but I think this can’t be taken as an excuse for not listening to trustworthy sources.

The problem of a mislead/misinformed electorate seems almost insurmountable at this time.

The cynic in me would say that’s now a long established tradition.

You really have to wonder about the disregard for this crisis we are in by the political class.

Is it lack of understanding, unwillingness to act (dereliction of duty), or a combination of both?
