I just walked out of federal court where I pleaded NOT GUILTY to the charges against me.

Beyond policy considerations and electoral politics, Tuesday provided a lot of people with a brief spark of hope that maybe our democracy is not already dead, and Democrats immediately capitulating to anti-democracy forces for no discernible benefit is a great way to extinguish that spark.

Back in the 1950s, law schools apparently received inquiries (from potential applicants, I assume?) that sometimes included a lot of questions. Here, Dean Prosser of UC Berkeley imagines a reply.

You know what? As a therapist I don’t even blame this guy for framing therapy this way, as the profession has given itself over to soothsaying meaninglessness ever since it lost its way in the 1970s (ish) from trying to effect actual personality growth. Therapists are just odd friends to most
