My landlady texted me last month noticing we both missed a payment earlier this year. Fortunately, I’m very consistent in my spending so I had almost the entire amount sitting in my bank account, minus $54.

It could be any of us at any time. That’s how the system is set up. Bills and financial responsibilities don’t stop because you can’t work.

I’m not going anywhere with this thread. I think many places that close after a few yrs (oh and also property owners who kick out solid spots) tend to be focused on aesthetics and less concerned with the quality of the experience. Patrons have no feedback loop with owner even with social media.

One place that’s closing had some of the most disappointing food for a music venue. Listen, I never want to see or eat chopped cheese anything in my life. If your venue serves baby bird food but you are 21+ I think you should grow up.

All this to say I don’t think social media influencers are actually that helpful to the long term business.
