There’s a brilliant podcast series called ‘Sold a Story’ about the commercialisation of a flawed early reading method in the USA. Well worth a listen. It will make you like phonics even more!

She hasn’t. We got home after the appointment, she got extra dinner to try to get her to throw up, and then she showed me where she hid the band under the door jamb. We’re no longer speaking.

I’m waiting for an emergency vet appointment for Zoya, who I think has eaten an elastic band. I know she’s only done it to annoy me.
