Historical newspapers are still an underutilised resource full of stark testament to the true ‘national story’

Said all along next election will be a dangerous moment for UK. Would people really vote for private health insurance, the return of grammar schools, and ?
Poll shows 100% of Reform Voters vote Reform and to spice it also polls ppl who don’t vote in order to make Reform, a party of just 5 MPs out of 650 in HOP seem v popular..

In poll which is as relevant to the next election as what I had for breakfast today..

But it gives MSM headlines🤷🏼‍♂️🙄
Reform would win most seats if general election took place now, new poll reveals
No party would win an overall majority, but a YouGov poll suggests Nigel Farage would have the most seats by far

Agreed, but when education activities were financialised and costed post 1988 ERA the field of education management (now labelled leadership) collaborated, and the key message to the profession was that it was too costly for a person in a senior role to teach! This has to be challenged and changed.
And, by the way, it's not a job I'd have done for precisely that reason. My natural habitat is the classroom and senior leadership and management would have taken me out of it. Perhaps that's something that also needs rethinking - should CEOs also teach? ( I think yes!)

Eugenics is still alive and well in UK government education policy for England!
Essential genetics debunking of very entrenched myths.

Worth also noting that many of these came initially from the labs of US eugenicists, for whom monogenic traits had to explain everything so their proposed policies would ‘work’
Remember when you first learned about genetics at school? All those fascinating examples of human traits that are each apparently determined by just a single gene? Time to check in on some of your favourites to see how they’re doing. 🧬🧵🧪 1/n

I wonder if the people of Runcorn would trial the abolition of the NHS in the constituency? Then demonstrate to the UK that the Reform company (it is not a party) only works for wealthy elites.

Why cant British Steel be owned by the UK population? So if the UK government wants to do a deal with a private business/consortium, why cant the UK population construct a business, sell shares, and we the people own shares in it? Why cant the workers own British Steel and we invest in them?
NEW: As Parliament is recalled to discuss the crisis at British Steel, we have a special News Agents report from Scunthorpe. Can UK steel making be saved? And are we on the verge of a new era of nationalisation in the name of national security?

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

As Arendt said, this is what happens when criminals enter government.
Given that the Trump people did nothing to induce Russia to end the war, it’s fair to conclude that the whole idea of pursuing peace was just a pretext to renew relations with Russia.
