it never fails to fascinate me how reading is so often about timing—i tried gideon the ninth MULTIPLE times over the past few years and couldn’t get stuck in and now after 2.5 days i’m about 60% of the way through

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

this morning i had a grown man throw a temper tantrum because i asked him not to fill up overhead bin space with his coat. his wife explained they were frustrated because of disrupted travel; congrats, you found the one employee among the tens of thousands at the airline who is responsible for that

I assume a lot of people are gonna be getting into Olympic ice hockey this winter, so I just want to share two things that make these Olympics EXTRA high stakes:
1. This is the first time that NHLers have been allowed to compete since 2014.
2. THEY HAVENT FINISHED BUILDING THE FUCKING RINKS.

i worked a full day, accidentally took my shoes off, and still took out the mountain of recycling piling up in my hidden crashpad space even though it’s very gray and snowy outside, pls clap

there’s been a trend lately of people asking me questions expecting a response when they havent first gotten any kind of attention or acknowledgement from me ands it’s so bizarre. this morning i was walking to the van looking up my flight number (so fully looking at my phone)

I'm so SO sorry to do this but it's stuck in my head and this is the only way to get it out. Please know I hate myself for doing this more than you ever could hate me for it: COVFIFA

re: articles like "20 cringe-worthy things that millennials do that gen-z hates"—you know what's cringe-worthy? constantly worrying what everyone thinks about you. judging other people for shit that makes them happy. like ok, YOU are choosing to live your life under the panopticon, but i'm not.

we got to the airport curb an hour early this morning which in the context of limited layover time is genuinely annoying! but when the alternative is sitting at an airport hotel for 17 hours vs being IN manhattan i’ll take the hour loss

lol guess who doesn’t have a shuttle scheduled on a planned layover that’s an hour late 🙃 also it’s now right in rush hour so it’s going to take 90 minutes to get there AFTER they find a driver for me
