Just a Gen Joneser living in southern succotash junction only until I can find someplace easier on the spirit that I can afford. Married to a disabled vet, so I'm particularly spicy about the VA pick.
JFC here we go again. It's ALWAYS been about creating the new Gilead. Margaret Atwood wrote a novel that was supposed to be fiction NOT a how-to manual.

Cool so what happens if GOP attach a national abortion ban to a CR? You'll vote for that too?

🚮
My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR.

My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down.

I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

Remember who voted to work with Nazis rather than fight them.

Primary them all. They did not save the Republic, they signed on to its defeat.

#collaborators
whether they’re retiring or not this should be the last term for each of them
The final tally to advance the CR is 62-38.

The Democrats who voted for cloture, giving Donald Trump everything he wants:

Cortez Masto (NV)
Durbin (IL)
Fetterman (PA)
Gillibrand (NY)
Hassan (NH)
Peters (MI)
Schatz (HI)
Schumer (NY)
Shaheen (NH)

I will fucking remember. I will put money into anyone running against them. Shaheen is gone already, though. I'm still gonna write her and cuss her out.

CALLS ARE WORKING - it has bought us precious time, but we NEED to keep the pressure up.

Tomorrow is the cloture vote.

KEEP CALLING: (202) 224-3121 ☎️☎️☎️

Tell your Dem Senator to vote NO on Cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill.

Do NOT assume your Senator will be good on this. Trust me.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.

THIS FIGHT IS NOT OVER.

TOMORROW MORNING: everyone MUST call en masse.

Do you have a recurring donation to your Democratic Senator? PULL IT IF THEY ARE VOTING YES.

We can still fight back!!

It’s because of moves like this that Donald Trump is the president.

What a fucking failure.

@ossoff.bsky.social @warnock.senate.gov @ossoff.senate.gov don't you dare vote for this abomination of a CR. Schumer is insane to think anything is going to stop Trump. This bill gets our safety net beyond repair. DONT do it or I will put my money and time into replacing you. Ossoff, that's you.
