The weirdest question I think I’ve gotten when I told someone I’m a musician was “Do you want to go on American Idol?” (That was obviously awhile ago!) I guess they assumed I’m a singer? I just said “I don’t think they take oboe players” lol

You basically just make kind of a cape shape. Wider at the top and sew the two sides together where their chest is. The rest is just a rectangle. You can also sew it in the middle behind their legs or insert a square panel if you want, but I usually just leave the bottom open.

I usually can still run outside for the whole month of December, but it’s not looking good. I couldn’t today because the sidewalks are an icy death trap. It’s going to be too cold later in the week.

I had a great trip and we ate so much delicious food 😋 but nothing hits like Portillo’s after traveling 🤤 I cannot wait to sleep in my own bed, too!

I guess I’m spectacularly lucky, but I don’t think it’s luck at all. I’ve been a professional musician for decades and I’ve put in the time and work to make it be my only source of income. Teaching lessons is still the largest portion of that income, but that is still being a musician imo.
