Fact #2: The biggest crab is the Japanese spider crab. They can reach up to 14 feet in wingspan!

These crustaceans are found along the southern coasts of Japan, where the deep sea vents are present. Do you think these long legs help with traversal? Sensing food? Attracting mates?

Fact #1: Crabs can be left handed or right handed!

Like many crustaceans, crabs are able to regenerate lost limbs, namely their claws, that they lose during fights with other crabs or escaping from a predator. I wonder if a crab can switch preferences if its preferred claw is lost?
