Unrelated, I was on a train in England once and it was running late or there was some other problem. The fact that the driver sounded like the comedian James Acaster meant I struggled to take him seriously over the tannoy.

My own qualifications are scientific, but I rankle at the reductive attitude of this piece, referring to 'a market-oriented mindset', and that applies to reducing science to its financial value also, let alone the arts. It's aggressively capitalistic, the market as ultimate arbiter.
