Our coding of articles reveals that the administrative burden literature is actually quite divese - both in terms of methods, geography, and the subjects and policy areas under study.

👨‍💻What did we do?

We read and coded all published papers on administrative burdens + all working papers we could get our hands on. In total, 119 papers were included in the review - all published since 2012!

🤔Why a literature review about administrative burdens?

Research on burdens has expanded quickly since the inception of the agenda by @donmoyn.bsky.social and @pamherd.bsky.social. We now begin to see different sub-literatures, and we thought it was a good time to take stock of current knowledge.
