Insurance shouldn’t be tied to employment. But since we can’t get it together on that big picture goal, the least we can do is protect the ACA.

Which is exactly why the GOP has fought to get rid of ACA. Big insurance companoes give big $$$ donations to try and bring back pre-existing conditions and prior authorization requirements.

Before ACA, breast implants, elective or reconstructive were considered a pre-existing condition.

One of my late family members was a long term congressional staffer back then.

Years later when he got cancer he refused genetic testing and advised his adult son against it because he was worried his son would be discriminated against in the future if GINA were repealed. He knew it wasn't safe.

Are preexisting conditions covered in all plans? Is maternity? Are private plans for those groups going to be significantly more expensive and separate? Will there be denial lists again?
