Double checked and 😖 yeah, not good, so I've gone over them again. Now I'm getting 3.3V at the terminals, still not quite enough to set off the relay. But I can see the voltage slowly dies away once the juice is removed, so we're nearly there. I'll have another look tomorrow...

I'm getting there. The problem is I don't see 5V at the relay terminals, so the relay never closes. I guess (GCSE physics was many years ago) that the resistor is causing too much of a voltage drop. I'm seeing 0.12V there.
I may, of course, just have miswired/missoldered/misunderstood it 😅.
