Sen. Murkowski admits Trump's budget bill is harmful after she folded and voted yes on it:

The president of the United States is threatening arrest and deportation of an American citizen who just won the Democratic nomination for mayor of NYC.

This is not normal. This is not acceptable. These are the words of an unhinged would-be dictator. I condemn this unequivocally.
Trump threatened New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani with arrest and promised the federal government would look into the state lawmaker’s citizenship.

The negotiations we're forced into:

The world: Cars everywhere!

Me: Ban cars.

Ok, now that we've voiced our opinions on how urban infrastructure should be allocated, we can start to negotiate.

@ridemcts.bsky.social I know I am just constantly complaining, but I've only ever been on one connect 1 that actively opened the rear doors for exit and entrance. My current one, 6239 heading west didn't even pull up far enough for the rear doors to be lined up with the platform. What's the point?

Quick post by me on why we should remove 794 downtown.
Reclaiming Milwaukee: Why Tearing Down I-794 Is the Right Choice
Milwaukee is at a turning point. The conversation around the future of I-794 is more than just an infrastructure debate — it’s a chance to redefine the heart of our city.

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars.

Even if those cars are electric.

And then there’s all the parking.

OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money and pollution.

America’s roads are killing us
America’s road safety strategy needs to be modernized with better data, tools and outcomes to prevent the nearly 40,000 fatalities per year.

The worst people in this country have used racism, sexism, and homophobia as a way of getting an addled old man elected president so that they can destroy our economy and make themselves rich. And we let them do it. This is the stupidest timeline and I keep hoping I’ll wake up from this hell.
I may have context for this! Last night WPBT in Palm Beach broadcast the 1979 Clint Eastwood film "Escape from Alcatraz."

Americans are paying debt on their own cars while their taxes (12% of Washington's transportation budget) goes toward debt for the clogged highways they're driving on.
Auto loan debt recently surpassed student loans as the second-largest consumer debt category in the U.S., trailing mortgages. Americans owe a record $1.66 trillion in auto loan debt, up 20% since 2020.

The average monthly payment on a new car is now $754, up from $570 in 2019.

Longer waits and reduced networks push even low-income riders to get a car – and to abandon transit for good.

Trump keeps using “us vs them” language, drawing lines between who belongs and who doesn’t. That’s not real leadership, it’s insecurity.

Real leaders govern with the aim of improving life for everyone, even those they disagree with. This administration is grounded in incompetence and immaturity.
