My mother stopped monitoring my books when I was about 8, and relied on said older sibling to do so.
They are also a voracious reader. I was competitive. The one place we were allowed to walk to and from alone? The library. I hit the maximum checkout limit. A lot.

There is nothing wrong if you weren't reading those things at 10! But I was, and I happened to like them.

The comics space online is small, and there are many permeable elements, but most of these creators aren't as aggressively as online as the fans.
