this piece by @jpbrammer.bsky.social on the 2026 Pantone color of the year is so hilarious and also slightly depressing that it makes me sad 90% of my followers (an estimate: hi folks) are bots because I want to tell the world. Sooo proud of having the funniest song possible for the top of my 2025 Apple Music year in review

One of my LinkedIn connections proudly posted this AI nonsense and the prompt she used, but like, did she not even look at the results before posting? It slays me that her motto is "Making content feel human again." Do I comment and tell her to check it, or let her hang out to dry? (we're not close)

My holiday wish is for people to learn the difference between "reticent" and "reluctant." Merriam-Webster is your friend

The kids on "Man on the Inside" absolutely kill me for how accurate and funny they are. Such a fun show

It's interesting how "fun size" and "party size" are basically opposites

I like the ads where celebrities banter happily with their Alexa. They're so funny because it's like slipping into a 30-second parallel dimension. In our house, Alexa is a clock we all yell at to shut up when she tries to sell us things after telling us the time.

I can't believe I thought Chester Arthur and James Garfield were boring. "Death by Lightning" is great!

I'm watching one of the "Riker doesn't become captain" episodes of Star Trek: TNG and although Frakes is a baby boomer, in spirit he was the first true Gen X (non) captain. Like please, keep that title away from me! Do not ask me to manage anyone but myself

I get over annoyed that Starbucks now advertises putting "real pumpkin" in its pumpkin spice latte because it caved to some influencer who complained about it a few years ago, apparently ignorant of the existence of pumpkin pie spice (pumpkin not included, obvi). Don't put squash in my coffee omg

This is the joke reference only I get when I say it, but every time I say "I'm on my way," it is in the cadence of Homer answering a Wheel of Fortune clue instead of listening to/ answering Marge, who has told him to pick up Bart. (Bart does not get picked up.)
what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

I absolutely love "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty,' the time-traveling, cooking, royal Jeoson court K-drama. It has Game of Thrones-style brutality and scheming, but always in the back of its mind the question: "Could this be solved by a cooking competition?"

J.P. Brammer, whose name my Swedish autocorrect keeps trying to change to Bränner, might be our best contemporary essayist. He is definitely my favorite, and this piece is superb!
I wrote about living with the chronic, debilitating anxiety that made me a "problem child" as kid, about trying to understand what anxiety is an adult, and how I discovered that it might be like prayer johnpaulbrammer.substack.com/p/line

My god, I was not expecting SO MUCH to happen in the #Foundation season finale. Certain dramatic events have transpired, indeed! So glad there's a season 4 to come.
