I could not be there, and it pains me, but it gives me so much joy to see the resonance it had, considering a smaller union launched it.

I took off 'politics' from the list of interests on this app because this is 'Enlightened Centrist Central'. Never seen such an amount of unabashed and unashamed support for western imperialism as on this app.

Same, but when I finally tried it it was one of the most underwhelming experiences of my life. It's just ice cream and some whipped cream on top. The presentation is what makes it feel like it's the holy grail of ice cream, but it really is not.

This sucks and journals shouldn't do this.
I almost stopped submitting stuff to Synthese - the 'only' is because I still submit for T.Cs there. All my last experiences with them have been abysmal. The quality of the reviews was terrible, written by graduate students that had something to prove and just made up stuff in order to reject
I'm not mad at the editors cos I understand the responding to but the number of review requests I get from Synthese in particular nowadays feels crazy. I think they are just overworked and I am in a popular area but its really quite something.
