To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Bezos has some secrets to hide
The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

Bob Woodward had Trump, on tape, saying how dangerous covid was. At a time when Trump was telling the world it was nothing.

He saved it for his book.

Journalism is a broken field full of assholes
something i'll note is that if nuzzi ran catch-and-kill ops for rfk jr and lizza knew this prior to him being appointed as HHS, and instead of telling anyone, he decided to save it for his substack long after rfk jr had made communicable disease into federal policy, that's completely fucked

It doesn't take a year of research to know that billionaires do this.

Just looking around will tell you this
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

I think as a generation that saw a genuine tech revolution with smartphones, it's acceptable to reject this "sometimes it's a better search engine" crap
I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t be out of touch with technology like my older relatives… But it’s really, really hard not to be unenthusiastic with technology right now when the tech industry is releasing shit that’s just plain not finished and using us as their genuine pigs.

I will not stand for this.

As the proud owner of a 2003 HP laserjet printer, that thing is powered by magic and just keeps working
For the first time ever, I had to make a payment in crypto.

I can now confidently say that crypto payments combine the speed of a dial up modem and the ease of updating the drivers on a 1998 HP Laserjet printer.

Picking a fight with people who are so much more popular than you, and are so much better at this, is a choice
Tim Kaine: "I don't tell Ro Khanna or AOC or anybody else who you should pick as your House leader, because I got a full time job being a senator. I don't need to freelance opinions about House leadership. They should focus on their own leadership and let senators do what we need to do."
