Context: enjoyed the original, went in to the sequel hopeful even after all the development drama, completed the game with 30 hours of playtime, found it mostly a Seattle bar hopping simulator with the occasional vampiric beatdown. Which makes it sound better than it is!

I think it's basically that minimum viable alternatives to hanging with people you don't know well are plentiful (Bsky, Twitch, etc.), but not so for sex.
