It's an area of hills and moorland with grit stone tors or outcrops of rock. The KitKat stones are naturally weathered grit stone blocks that just look like the chocolate strips of a KitKat candy bar.
I was there for a sunrise photograph and enjoyed a great day although the wind was bitter🙂
