Good summation of why good games don’t need remakes. They were already good & now you’re in the position of change little and be unnecessary, or change a lot and really risk making a shit game.

It’s not impossible - I do think RE2make is distinct and cool, but overall just don’t bother

Yeah I was enjoying JoJoLands but just kinda stopped. I’ll pick it up at some point and read through it. Better to have a bunch of chapters at least so I get hooked and can just go go go. The start/stop is bad for me with my attention span :-/

Yeah for sure. SO is a tipping point in weirdness for me. I still love it, C-Moon is a high point for me - but it’s definitely off the rails at parts.

I quite liked the back half of JoJoLion, but oo boy some of the early stuff is like cmon get on with it.

I do think he’s kind of in a weird spot where everyone’s powers are super esoteric and weird and it takes him a few chapters to work out how to make fights tense and interesting

I do think the yellow paint solution can be an excuse to bypass clear sign posting and crisp level design. But I don’t think it’s bad on its own. Definitely something I’d agree should be included at least as an optional feature.
