If there's anything I learned from my disastrous career in politics it's that you'll get better results being nice to allies rather than nasty to them :-)

I just feel if I was head of say, the Scottish Greens, and I had folks from outwith Scotland speaking to me like that, I would be disinclined to assist. I can absolutely respect the graft Sophie's putting in, and can disagree with some of her choices, that's all!

I just found the skeet's tone really weird for the only party (as you rightly say) that's reliably pro-trans in England.

We can disagree on the best course of action to get support from people :)

And what powers do opposition party leaders have?

I just think it's a weird attitude to make perfect be the enemy of good.

I absolutely understand that, but I don't know what you expect him to do, other than words? He's a backbench MLA? If you want action, you'd be better lobbying the elected members who represent the people you're trying to help? This just feels self-important and counterproductive.
