Hi there, My name is Greg 👋🏼

I am super passionate/curious about #EdTech and #EduAnalytics.. I’m building a Learning Record Store (LRS) to normalize, capture, and enrich learning analytics! I’m still learning myself but I hope you learn with me ✏️

Thread below for some on-going updates 👇

Lots of noise out there, I think a lot of the technology is a huge distraction if it doesn’t have a direct impact on my work/deeper understanding in my field.

More. More. More.

Being selective on what you take on in life (personally and professionally) is absolutely key to being content. You don’t have to take on ‘more’. Take on more of what you value that brings you peace and satisfied your ambition.

I don’t want to build AI solutions. I want to leverage them without a doubt though. Locally. Securely.

Lead with curiosity. Curiosity only kills dumb cats 😅

Always appreciate when people in life put things into perspective

Especially when that perspective comes from a general want for happiness and health 🤟🏼

Was playing would you rather with my partner.. following along with an accounts videos. So many cheesecake related questions. We chose cheesecake over everything. Now we want cheesecake. #cheesecake

Ok… so for Swift #iOSDevs - I know root structure can impact deployment - but the package.swift has thrown me big time..

Why do I have to place everything under two folders? Isn’t that redundant? Or am I being dumb? #DevQuestion #HelpPlease

No programming language is flawless - but equally… I break everything I touch at least once 😅

Swift is throwing me through a loop and I feel SO unprepared 🥴 #swiftdev #edtechbuild

Starting with an Apple forward build feels extremely restrictive… and like I have to ignore a portion of the people I’m building for intentionally.. - however, I am starting to look at angles I normally wouldn’t when considering interconnectivity options 🥴

I need like 3 extra hours a day. Not to work - but for the extra sleep 😅

As I continue to dig into the ever going problems/pain points with learning records in education

There are some GREAT solutions for really niche EdTech problems… why does it feel so far that a lot miss the mark or simply don’t aim for connectivity? Or normalization of data?

Signing our first sitting member for our Advisory Board — a great reminder that others believe in our product too. 🤌🏼

Ever see a product in a parallel sector and your like ‘WOW - that’s EXACTLY a vertical I had in mind…’

Because I happened upon a product and different problems solved but holy moly! SO reminiscent of #learningdata but for employee records!

What you’re doing is enough. Yes, aim for higher. But acknowledge where you are and where you came from.

After a personal convo with my business partner - we both realized we didn’t know much on each others successes! Now we can celebrate each other and build on that too 🔥 #grateful #selflove

One of my favorite parts of problem solving is the pause… RIGHT before ya take a step back and say ‘I have no %#^ clue’ 😅

Remember admitting is the first step LOL

Just like that we have our first sitting member on our Board of Advisors! Well… a signature here and there and it’ll be as good as set

A great mentor in recent past and I respect their opinion SO much. Exciting! Can’t wait to share details #EduSky

Simplest doesn’t mean basic — it means it works!

As much as I am actively falling in love with #EdTech and #EduAnalytics - I have pretty darn large vertical of experience with varying vertical depth 😅

One that I find most practical is eCommerce! ~ I specialized in Product Information Management (Think getting info from source, through B, to C) 🤟🏼

So I was reviewing today some of my work…

And realized I never really formally celebrated a mini win. In September 2024 my build for a company won Remote Learning Solution Provider of the Year 🔥 so #PersonalWin & #EdTechWin

A small recognition, but am hoping to solve some great problem sets soon!

I love really thought provoking & critical thinking content and development work 🫠

I’m talking Thesis Papers, epic public repos, thoughtful pieces on rising technology (not necessarily trends)… anything DATA is huge for me and fascinating/exciting

Who should I follow?? #edtech #buildinpublic #dev
