This is the new axis of evil. US is aligned with Putin, Orban, and all dictators (but Maduro). RU gets Eastern Europe, China gets Taiwan back and SE Asia, US gets South and Central America. Trump. Trump thinks he is playing RISK.

This administration uses Signal, WhatsApp etc to hide their treasonous dealings away from oversight and discovery in the future. They are also Russian stooges. That is the treason part.

Any war at that scale will cost hundreds of billions of dollars and will likely fail. Even if Maduro flees to Russia, that does not mean Venezuela won't cost us in blood and treasure. These people are criminally stupid.

Been awhile since I have seen a NYT piece worth reading. I think the reflection at the end about how Americans viscerally understand that the gov and elites are dismissive of the lowly public is accurate.

The plan as leaked to the press are Russia's war aims. It is a surrender document that allows Russia to rebuild and finish UKR off completely. Ukr cannot sign it and they won't.

I mean yeah, we are talking TX. I love Crockett, but I am not convinced she is electable over Cornyn. Talarico speaks directly about our obligation to help the poor. I do wonder if his sermons on Jesus make many uncomfortable with their greed and hatred for people of different ethnicities.

Talarico could win if he can get a good campaign put together. TX is a big state and organization/dollars count. I don't know how he is received by evangelicals since he openly reminds Christians about the teachings of Christ. Christ as friend to the poor, strangers and sick. He is a great speaker.

To refuse an illegal order is in the UCMJ, but you need to show it is a patently illegal order. Blowing up boats in international waters is, to me, a patently illegal order. Notably, an Admiral DID resign. Sad as it is, attacking Venezuela is not a war crime. again see Congressional responsibilities

What kind of Congress rejects their responsibilities? Congress is supposed to impeach or 25th Amendment this. Not the military's job to oppose stupid wars.

I think what is destroying gov function is gerrymandering. It systemically undermines bipartisanship. It is also a way of forcing non majoritarian representation in the House.
Also have a term limit for SCOTUS. 12 to 18 yrs tops.

The Senate was designed around state's rights. It was never about representation. We have the House for that.
I do think SCOTUS should have 18yr term limits and be expanded to fit the federal districts.
